The subject of "resurrection" is so clearly spelled out in the Scriptures and so easy to understand when one simply submits to the Word.  So, please follow along in your Bible and read the following verses.  You will find that there are 5 phases of resurrection not 3 resurrections as the Church has taught for centuries nor is there a "rapture" that the Roman Catholic Church dreamed up and passed onto Christianity.  The truth is in the Word and bears our attention.

  1. 1 Cor 15:20, Yahshua was raised first to be the firstfruit.
  2.  Matt 27:52-53, the graves & tombs were opened & the people raised in Yerusalem after Yahshua's death.
  3.  Rev 11:11-12, the two witnesses will be raised during tribulation.
  4. Rom 6:5; 1 Cor 15:23; Isa 26:19; Rev 20:4-6, the believers (saints) are raised up at Messiah's 2nd Coming which will end tribulation.  First the  dead & then those that are alive.

    A.  Rev 21:27, the names of the saints are written in the Lamb's (Messiah's) Book of Life.
  5. Rev 20:11-15, after Messiah's 1,000 yr. reign, the dead that did not receive Yahshua to become a part of His redeemed "ekklesia" before  His 2nd Coming will be raised at the Great White Throne Judgment  after His 1,000 yr. reign.

    A.  Rev 20:12-13, all the dead in this category are raised to stand before the Great White Throne & are judged according to their  works.

    B.  Rev 20:15, those that are judged to have done good works have their names added to the Book of Life (this is a different Book; it  is not the Lamb's Book of Life which is based on faith).

    C.  The principal of judgment is based on works or deeds of the dead in this category.

    D.  Rev 20:15, those that have no good works or deeds are thrown into the lake of fire.  Revelation suggests that those that are judged according to their good works in the last resurrection which have their names added to the other Book of Life are people that did good works during their lifetime.  These souls will most likely live on the New Earth (Rev 21:1), while the redeemed (saints that received Yahshua as their Savior during their lifetime) will live in the New Yerusalem (Rev 21:27).
