REVIVAL IS HERE!!!
A GUIDE TO THE RETURNING ISRAELITE
REVISED 3/22/06
BY REBBETZIN SHERRY A. HORD
Since the late 1990’s, there has been a spiritual Revival going on that has traveled around the globe to touch people’s hearts worldwide. It is a Revival that has convicted thousands of people to leave the Church, and other religious institutions. It is a Revival of hearts that have been truly called to repent of religion, and to return their hearts to the Father of their salvation, and to His “ancient paths” found in the Mosaic Scriptures. It is a Revival of hearts that realize that they are members of Redeemed Yisr’el/Israel rather than a church, and therefore must walk the “ancient paths” to please the Father in Heaven.
The following guide has been written to help others that have received the call to leave religion, to repent of the error found in religion, and to return to the Father’s “ancient paths.”
Revival is the spiritual awakening in one’s heart that he or she must break away from idolatrous, manmade worship, and make an immediate return to the true worship of the Father in Heaven by returning to His “ancient paths” found in the Mosaic Scriptures.
Yirmeyahu/Jeremiah 18:15 tells us that the religions of the world make the Father’s people forget Him, and deliberately lead them from the “ancient paths” so that they will not worship Him. True Revival then leads people to the “ancient paths” not to a Church or religious institution that is foreign to the Mosaic Scriptures.
Because the “ancient paths” found in the Mosaic Scriptures are not familiar to or followed by most of the redeemed today, the onset of true Revival can be very misunderstood by a person when his or her heart is called to depart from religion, and to make a return to the Father in Heaven. Therefore, it is very natural for people to experience confusion as to what they are to do after making the choice to depart from the Church and other religious institutions.
At the initial onset of true Revival, a person is usually confronted with a multiple of things that he or she must repent of including the Church, and other religious institutions, and their religious teachings and philosophies. The person’s heart wants to be obedient to the Father’s call to depart from religion, but the person’s mind may deliberate between the pros and cons of overall departure from religion, and all that was learned from it. This difficulty of deliberating is due to the indoctrination and social influences that the person received during the years of affiliating in religion.
Several things may happen in the Revival process, some family members and friends may depart from the person undergoing Revival because they do not understand what the person is going through, and what is making them change so abruptly. The sad side of things is that most people that depart do not even care to understand. This departure of family members and friends that may occur during the Revival process may bring deep personal hurt and unwanted feelings of separation into a person’s life that may not have been experienced before. Very often the person going through true Revival does not fully understand what they are doing either but know that they must do it, and therefore, step out in sheer faith to be obedient to the call of the Father that is upon their heart. This step of faith in itself will separate the person from others.
During the Revival process, the Ruach ha Kodesh/Holy Spirit will begin to show the individual the exact sin that one has participated in by being involved in religion. This exposure of sin may cover several areas including religious doctrines and philosophies, and what the person has personally participated in during the time spent in religion. As the Ruach exposes the sin, the person will begin to see that there are many false doctrines and religious teachings that were learned in a church or synagogue that are opposite of the Father’s Word. With this will come the conviction that these must be repented of. This kind of sin exposure deals specifically with the religious indoctrination that one has allowed to enter into his or her mind. The exposure of indoctrination is difficult to face for most people because they have held certain religious doctrines and practices in great esteem But as the revelation of sin deepens, the person will reach a point of personal acknowledgement that these things truly are sin, and that religion gives the Father great displeasure and, therefore, must be repented of. Sorrow and remorse over the things that one has done in religion brings about a true desire in one’s heart for teshuvah/repentance.
When the individual makes the final decision to leave the Church or synagogue system behind, discouragement, loneliness, wavering, guilt, anger, and frustration often set in. These are normal human feelings because the person has been indoctrinated to believe that their religion, Christianity or modern day Judaism or other religious ties, is the true worship of the Father in Heaven. Indoctrination, however, is not faith but a social ideology that appears and sounds good to the human spirit. Indoctrination will dull one’s mind to truth, and destroy one’s faith in the true Savior. It will gradually replace one’s spiritual faith with human dependence on a system of religious beliefs that are false and opposite of the Word of the Father. The end result of indoctrination is that one becomes spiritually deaf, blind, and dumb to the true Word of the Father in Heaven.
Revival includes the purifying work of the Ruach that cleanses the individual’s mind of all former idolatrous religious practices so that the individual may return to the Mosaic Scriptures to build a firm foundation of the Father’s Word in one’s heart. Revival brings the person to the knowledge of the things of the Father, including the Name of the Father which is found in the original Mosaic Scriptures and Torah Scrolls, and the Hebrew or Aramaic Name of the Son. Revival brings the individual back to the Mosaic Scriptures to find the “ancient paths” that one must travel to please the Father; paths that were not known to the person previously. The person must return to a place that he or she has never been before. It is a 360 degree turn around known as “teshuvah” or repentance. Along with newly gained knowledge of the Mosaic Scriptures, Revival fills the cleansed heart and mind of the individual with an in-depth awareness and deep understanding of the prophet’s messages of the regathering and restoration of the twelve tribes of Yisr’el.
The Revival that is taking place today is to fulfill Scriptures and nothing more. It is not to “revive” a “lost” church or rabbinical religious system, nor is it to bring Christians back to the church system or Jews back to rabbinical synagogues. Revival is to bring the redeemed out of the churches and Messianic Jewish synagogues completely, and back to the true worship of the Father in Heaven in Spirit and in Truth.
NOTE: Messianic synagogues may fulfill “revived” hearts for a time being, but they teach One House Theology which is error, and contain a mixture of Christianity and Judaism. Therefore, they promote confusion. Remember that Ba’al/Bel is where the word “Bavel/Babylon” comes from and means “confusion.” Unfortunately, today’s Judaism comes out of the 70-yr. exile into Babylon that the House of Yahudah/Judah under went. Christianity arose out of the “confusion” of the Catholic Church, and still contains doctrines of the Catholic Church.
Therefore, if you are a Christian, Catholic, or Jew that has begun to experience a work of the Ruach to lead you out of your religion, yield to it. It means that you are being called to return to the Father and the worship that He desires. It means that you must be “revived” as an individual from your religious nap that you have been taking, and become the Israelite as you were redeemed to be. Be happy to know that thousands upon thousands around the world are undergoing the same Revival process, so you are not alone.
The following information has been complied to help you in the Revival process that may be taking place in your life:
- Upon receiving the Father’s call to depart from religion, be brave and step out in faith to do it. Leave your church or your synagogue behind. Understand that these religions teach error, and when you leave them, you also leave their error. One major area of error that they both teach is that there are only Jews and Gentiles in the world (known as 1 House theology), therefore, they are adhering to manmade philosophies and teach false doctrines.
- Learn the Hebrew Name YHVH/YHWH/Yahweh/Yahueh or Aramaic Name MarYah of the Father. Learn the Hebrew Name of His Son, Yahshua/Yahushua, or the Aramaic Name, Yeshu, which mean the “salvation of Yah or Yah’s salvation.” Gain confidence in the Names, and begin to speak forth the Names in prayer, praise, song, and kodesh/holy conversation with other people. Repent of the religious manmade names and titles that the church or synagogue taught you or are found in Christian Bibles; they are useless and belong to worldly religions. Meditate on the following Mosaic Scripture:
Shemot/Exodus 3:15 which tells us that the Father’s Name is YHVH/YHWH and is pronounced Yahweh or Yahueh. This portion of Scripture informs us that we are to know the Father’s Everlasting Name, and we are to remember it for all generations. In other words, we are to speak the Name of the Father, and pass it down to our children. We are not to hide it or ignore that it exists. Revival is a revival of the Father’s Name as well. NOTE: Most Christian Bibles and Jewish Tanakhs insert the word LORD for the Four Letters of the Father’s Name even though they appear in the original language as YHVH/YHWH. Thus, these Bibles are hiding the Name of the Father, and promote ignorance of the Name.
Learn the Hebrew Name of the Son, Yahshua/Yahushua, or use the Aramaic Name, Yeshu, which are variance of dialect. They mean “salvation of Yah (reference to the Father‘s Name)” or “Yah is Savior/Yah’s Savior.” Totally repent of the Names that religion has taught the world, and research the title of “Christ” which was used as a reference to Greek Deity long before the Yahushua came. Begin to use the proper title for Yahushua which in Hebrew is Mashiach/Moshiach meaning “Messiah.” Forget the English words “Lord” and “God.” These are appellations for heathen gods, and should not be used by believers in reference to the Father in Heaven. Shemot/Exodus 23:13 is another verse to mediate on because it tells us that we are not to speak or use the name of heathen gods. - Begin to keep the 7th Day of Rest, the Sabbath/Shabbat, in your home as a day set aside for rest from ordinary labor (Shemot/Exodus 20:8-11). It is a day to be enjoyed by the person, and at the same time an opportunity to reconnect with family members in the Oneness/Echad of the Creator of Heaven and the Earth. It is a time to be filled with peace, joy, happiness, reverence, worship, and love. It is a day that should be guarded not to allow interference from the world to harm the Spirit of the day. Always keep in mind that necessary things can be done in love for people and animals on the 7th Day (Matt.12:12). It is a day that the Father has made for you to have, enjoy it to the fullest.
- Invest in a new Bible that has the Names of the Father and Son in it. There are three Bibles that are very good, and will help the individual to make a good transition from Christianity and Judaism into a better perspective of the Word.
(1). The Scriptures, published by the Institute For Scripture Research, South Africa.
(2). Restoration Scriptures, published by Your Arms To Israel, U.S.A.
(3). The Hebraic-Roots Version Scriptures, published by SANJ, U.S.A.
All three Bibles can be obtained on-line at www.fossilizedcustoms.com
- 5. Begin to read and thoroughly study the first five books of the Bible. Together, these five books comprise the Mosaic Scriptures called the Torah. Pray for the Ruach to teach you the importance of these five books. Establish your faith on these five books to build a more solid foundation for your faith to rest on. Debarim/Deuteronomy 4:1-2; Matt. 5:17-20.
- 6. Stop keeping the holidays of the world, Christmas, Easter, etc. Begin to observe the Feast Days found in the Mosaic Scriptures. The Father has given these times to His children for joyous occasions, and to be rehearsal times for the observances that will be included in the future Messianic Kingdom. Pesach/Passover celebrated in the Spring is a time that is to be kept for all generations (Shemot/Exodus 12:14).
- 7. Stop taking Christian communion on a weekly or monthly schedule. We are to partake of the elements to remember the Death, Burial, and Resurrection of the Yahushua on an annual basis during the Pesach/Passover meal.
- 8. Order a calendar to give you the dates for Pesach/Passover and the Feast Days. They are not listed on a regular calendar. However, one must realize that there are several calendars out there that are based on a particular reckoning of the dates. Some are reckoned by the ripening of the barley in Israel, some by lunar calculations, some by sun and lunar calculations. Many groups use the well-recognized Jewish calendar, however, it is not based on the Mosaic Scriptures for its reckoning. The Jewish calendar begins its civil year in the fall. Shemot/Exodus 12:1 states that the Father’s new year begins in the Spring at time of renewal which is opposite of the Jewish calendar. Therefore, a person has to begin somewhere, and usually goes with a calendar that he or she feels is the best reckoning of Scriptural time. Just remember that Pesach/Passover is to be observed under a full moon during the month of Abib/Aviv.
- 9.The following books are helpful for you to understand why you must leave the religious systems behind, and why you should not look back like Lot’s wife did.
(1). Fossilized Customs, by Lew White.
(2) Come Out of Her My People, by Chris Koster.
These books can be ordered on-line at www.fossilizedcustoms.com
- 10. Get well grounded in the full salvation theme of the Bible called the Two House Teaching. The following sources can be found on-line to print out, or ordered at various websites:
(1). Basic Two House Teaching, by Reb. Sherry A. Hord at www.shabbat-kallah.org
(2). 28 Part The Full Restoration of Israel, by Rabbi Moshe Koniuchowsky at www.yourarmstoisrael.org
(3). Various articles pertaining to Two House information at www.twohouses.org and www.olivetreeoutreach.org
(4) Who Is Israel?, by Batya Wooten and Restoring Israel’s Kingdom, by Angus Wooten at www.mim.net
(5). The Ten ‘Lost’ Tribes of Israel… Found!, by Steven Collins at www.nbizz.com/losttentribes to familiar yourself with the migrations of the 10 Northern Tribes of Israel (1 Kings 11:26-39; Hosea 1:10-11).
- Teach your children the 10 Commandments. Have them memorize the Commandments and recite them to you (Debarim/Deut. 6:7, 31:13).
- Utilize the internet for research and further reading. Check everything out against Scripture, keep the good and throw out the bad. This Revival is bringing forth new areas of teaching and correcting error in old teaching. The information to be found is phenomenal.
- Find a good Messianic /Nazarene Israel teacher locally, and begin to study under the anointing of that person, or find a Messianic/Nazarene group that is meeting in your area and begin fellowshipping with other “revived believers.” Begin to implement your new knowledge openly with your brothers and sisters in the Revival. Beware of the goats, and One House teachers and groups. Not all Messianic groups believe the same, so find the right one for you through prayer, and learn to wait for the leading of the Ruach. Some of the Two House websites have listings of groups meeting around the world so you may find one relatively near you, or if you contact a group in your state or country they may steer you to a group nearest to you.
- Be confident and joyful in your new walk. As you grow in the knowledge and understanding that is being poured out by the Ruach in this “last days” Revival prior to the Savior’s return, you will begin to see that the Renewed Covenant/New Testament is a wonderful continuation of the First Covenant. It is a fulfilling of only those things in the First Covenant that needed to be ratified due to the children of Israel being exiled into the world, and that everything else still exists. The Renewed Covenant will no longer be a separate book to you, but an exciting continuation of the Father’s Will and Promises fulfilled that were given to the children and their descendants of ancient Israel.
The main focal point of this Revival is to cleanse people’s minds of religious indoctrination so that they can begin to see in the Scriptures how ancient Israel was dispersed among the heathen nations of the world due to their sins, particularly, the sin of idolatry. It is to bring the understanding that the children of ancient Israel were to be exiled in the heathen nations of the world due to the sin of idolatry. They were to be in the world and begin participating in the religions of the world until a period of time that was set by the Father in Heaven had ended. When that period of time had ended, the Father would begin to call the descendants of ancient Israel back to Himself to forgive them of their sins, regather and restore them as a nation of redeemed Israelites. The regathering of the descendants of Israel began with the Savior’s ministry in Eretz Israel/Land of Israel before His death, and was continued through Shaul/Paul and the other limmudim/disciples as they traveled and preached in the areas where the tribes of Israel had been scattered to. This regathering continues to be accomplished through the Besarot/Gospel today. Each person that is redeemed by the Blood Atonement of Yahushua haMashiach today is either a descendant of ancient Israel that has been saved from the world of sin, and returned to the Tree/Family of Israel, or is a member of the gentile/heathen nations that had not been a part of the people called Israel, but have been redeemed and saved from the world of sin also. These redeemed persons have become an heir of Avraham/Abraham along with the redeemed Israelites, and are grafted onto the Tree of Israel to be brothers or sisters of like faith to be equal members of redeemed Israel.
Found in this amazing Revival is a revelation of Israelite tribal descendency that is being poured out on many redeemed people at this time. It is a revelation that comes from the Ruach to one personally. Prior to the revelation being given, the person usually has had an inkling of his or her descendency, but did not understand that the love in one’s heart for Israel’s Messiah, the Jewish people, the Hebrew language or Hebrew perspective of the Bible, wearing the Star of David around the neck, or the attraction to Messianic Judaism was actually a stirring of Revival in one’s heart. These things usually set the person apart from others that did not have the same stirring, understanding, or desire for Messianic things. That is why the revelation of the Two House theme of the Word brings great peace to the soul of the person, particularly a descendant of ancient Israel. At long last the person has found their identity, and can be confident that they have found the true road of salvation, and they can walk the “ancient paths” to please the Father in Heaven.
The Revival that has come you is very necessary for your spiritual walk, it is Scriptural, and will lead you as a member of redeemed Israel into the coming restoration of the twelve tribes of Israel as foretold by the prophets. Be happy! Be glad! Be Blessed!
Baruch ha Shem Yahueh
Blessed is the Name of YHVH
