Tetragrammaton: The four Hebrew letters transliterated (spelled in English YHVH) that form the Scriptural Name of Elohim.
YHVH
Pronunciation: The Hebrew language does not have vowels as the English language has. For pronunciation, vowels must be added. In addition to the vowels added, the ancient Hebrew pronunciation of the V letter would be like a W in the English language.
Most common used pronunciation:
YaH-WeH
Can be spoken as:
Ya-Hu-WeH
Or:
Ya-Ho-WeH
As the children of the Avrahamic/Abrahamic Covenant, our status and privledges obtained through the Savior's atonement, includes the commandment of Torah that we are to know and use the personal Name of our Father in Heaven found in Exodus 3:15. The letters YHVH are presented in the most ancient Hebrew copies of the manuscripts of Torah. In later manuscript copies, the Scribes hid the four letters by practicing the ancient Babylonian method of disquising deities names by assigning them new names to avoid speaking the true names of the dieties or be cursed if one did so (superstition). This practice is called "ineffability" and is still practiced today by Judaism and Christianity, and other religions. Today's religions use false names for the Father and the Savior (Jehovah & Jesus), and the words of God, G-d, Lord, Adonai, thus continuing the practice of "hiding" or "ineffability." The Name of the Son of Elohim/YHVH contains the Father's Name YAH plus the addition of the Hebrew word pertaining to salvation/savior. The combination of the two YAH - shua means YAH's salvation/savior or salvation/savior of YAH.
Yahshua/Yahoshua/Yahushua
The most common pronunciation of the Savior's personal Name is: Yah-shu-a in addition to the Sacred Names of the Father and Savior, YAH's breath or spirit moves across this earth and in our lives and dwells in His believers' hearts. The common English translation of the Hebrew for this invisible presence of YAH is the Holy Spirit. The Hebrew words for the personal presence of YAH convey so much more than the mere English translation.
Ruach = Breath ( personal invisible presence of El, Elohim, YAH, YHVH) Ha Kodesh = the (breath) is Holy, Sacred, Set-Apart, Sanctified, to be worshipped, etc.
The term Ru-ach Ha Ko-desh brings thoughts to one's mind of YAHWEH, the Creator Himself, personally intervening in our lives, personally living in our hearts, and working His Plan of Salvation upon the earth.
Our Father in Heaven desires His children to know Him personally, to call upon Him using His personal given Name YHVH which He revealed to Moshe for the children of Israel to know. His Son YAHshua called upon Him using His Father's personal Name.
The Savior, YAHshua, has His Father's Name because they are Echad, they are One as stated in John 10:30. The Savior's Name is not a manmade name of "Jesus" but YAHshua. YAHshua's words are recorded in John 5:43 and they are for us today as well, "I have come in my Father's name, and you do not accept me; but if someone else comes in his own name, you will accept him."
The use of the word "Lord" in the following Scripture is a profound use of the "art of ineffability." Because it is capitalized it refers to a "high god, ruler, master" equated with "Jesus." But in reality the verse is talking about YHVH/YAHweh. 2 Corinthians 3:17 states, "Now YHVH/YAHWEH (the Lord) is the Ruach (Spirit), and where the Ruach (Spirit) of YHVH/YAHWEH (the Lord) is, there is freedom."
How much more personal and revealing are the proper Names of the Creator and His Son. How much more we can love Him when we are set free from traditions and superstitions of men and improper name-calling.
In YAHWEH's Ruach this message is sent to you because He loves you. Can you show your love to Him?
